- I understand good design, I’ve been working in digital since I built websites with html in 2005.
- I don’t mind going into details and learning how things work.
- I want to know what other people’s experiences are and how they perceive things.
- I like to be focused on business goals and timelines, while being aware of user experience and the why behind the work.
- I’ve learned a bit of coding - only to better understand developers and have a common language.
- I use analytics to see the trends and to show the impact to stakeholders.
- I watch session recordings and talk to people because some things you can’t see in data.
- I like to have other people’s perspectives in mind when I work, because it helps to bring them to the same page.
- I am a get it done kind of person. If I don’t know how to solve a problem, I treat it like a puzzle. I just start somewhere, then ask questions and usually things fall into place.
- I believe that telling people’s stories is the best way to share the experience. That’s the part I love about my current job — I get to read all these stories while working on the website. Just two examples:
- Nerve reconstruction surgeon restores boy’s ability to use his right arm
- One of the nation’s largest living kidney donation chains brings waves of hope (the video makes me tear up every time)
- Books I’ve recently loved
- “The Wild Beneath” by Kelly Anderson, because I went to an author event at a library
- “The Correspondent” by Virginia Evans, for a long road trip, to learn assertiveness
- “Whistler” by Ann Patchett, to recover from reading “Yesteryear”
- “Miss Iceland” by Auður A. Ólafsdóttir, recommended to me by a good friend
- “Impossible Creatures” by Katherine Rundell, a kind and beautiful book I’d recommend a 10-year old to read
- “The Penderwicks” by Jeanne Birdsall, the book me and my son read (and cried)
Some facts about me beyond the resume
